Jenkins Adventures is owned and operated by Dan Jenkins, Jr. During a first visit to Costa Rica in 1990, Dan began a special connection with the place that would last for years. The son of Award winning writer Dan Jenkins Sr. Young Dan had an upbringing filled with sports and travel. Learning to surf at the age of twelve in Hawaii, now at the age of forty-five, Dan's love for the ocean still exists today.

After finishing schooling in 1986 at the "School of Visual Arts" in New York city, Dan Jr. began working at Sports Illustrated magazine as a photographers assistant. The work included doing jobs for the NFL, NBA, U.S. Open's and others. This led to a full time position with legendary photographer Walter Iooss. For the next twelve years Dan learned much and traveled far as Walter's assistant on jobs around the world. Clients included COKE, IBM, CAMEL, and many others.

In 1999 Dan moved back to southern California to pursue his carrier in surf photography. For the last seven years Dan's photo's have appeared in magazines in the U.S, Japan, Australia, Europe, and Latin America. Most of those photos coming from many trips to Costa Rica. Through out his travel's it was Dan's love for Costa Rica its people and waves that made a long lasting impression on him.

Now marrired to his long time Costa Rican girlfriend Paulina, Dan looks forward to their life and family together in this beautiful country. Let Dan and his team of professionals show you the real Costa Rica. Just sit back and enjoy it all...Pura Vida!
